Filippo Berio returns to the stage with the Opera Collection: Giacomo Puccini’s “La Bohème” and “Turandot” star on the new limited-edition tins

Following previous editions, the project celebrating Italian art, culture and the quality of extra virgin olive oil continues

Milan, 6 October 2026 – Filippo Berio, the premium brand of the Salov Group, continues its tribute to the great tradition of Italian opera with two new limited-edition tins in its Opera Collection, a series dedicated to the masterpieces of Giacomo Puccini, the renowned composer born in Lucca and deeply connected to the territory where, more than 150 years ago, Filippo Berio began its own story.

Following earlier editions inspired by some of the Maestro’s most celebrated operas, including Tosca, the collection is now enriched with two new designs: La Bohème and Turandot. The two tins reinterpret the brand’s packaging through the iconic figures of Mimì and Turandot, the heroines of the respective operas, transforming the one-litre format into a true collector’s item.

The year 2026 is particularly significant for Turandot, marking the 100th anniversary of its world premiere. The new tin dedicated to the opera celebrates this important milestone through a special design that brings the charm of Puccini’s universe into everyday life and the heart of the kitchen.

In this way, art, music and Italian culture come together with gastronomic tradition through two new editions designed to be treasured and collected. Their elegant illustrations and distinctive format also make the tins a sophisticated gift idea for the Christmas season, combining the pleasure of an authentic Italian product with the beauty of an object meant to be kept and admired over time.

The tins contain Filippo Berio Classic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, characterised by a well-balanced flavour profile with notes of grass and tomato. Versatile and suitable for a wide range of culinary preparations, it is particularly recommended for finishing and dressing dishes, enhancing ingredients without overpowering them. The tin packaging also helps protect the oil from light, contributing to the preservation of its organoleptic properties.

For Filippo Berio, the Opera Collection is also a way of expressing a vision of Italian excellence that brings together culture, local heritage and quality. This commitment extends beyond the product itself and looks towards the future of the olive oil sector, as demonstrated by the Salov Group’s support, through its historic Filippo Berio brand, for Save the Olives and research projects aimed at protecting olive trees and combating Xylella.

The new limited-edition La Bohème and Turandot tins will be available from early October at major retail chains, with a recommended retail price of €8.99.
